How to keep bread fresh in Singapore

DO's

  • For the first 3 days, leave the bread in a paper bag or cloth, slice only when needed.
  • On the 3rd day, slice the loaf into ready-to-eat slices and freeze it all in an air-tight bag.
  • Toast straight from the freezer until desired colour and texture. Defrosting is not required!

DON'Ts

  • Do not store in room temperature as bread will continue to ferment!
  • Do not store sliced bread in the refrigerator as it will absorb the water content and your bread would turn dry over time. The freezer is ideal as it freezes the water content.
